National Conference on NanoMaterials Science, Technology and Applications (NAMASTA)

(November 10-11, 2017)

The conference

Nanomaterials constitute a bridge between atomic, molecular and bulk materials. They exhibit unique size and shape dependent properties, distinguished from their bulk counterparts. Wide variety of such properties find applications across all the areas of science, such as chemistry, biology, physics, materials science, and engineering. This emerging interdisciplinary field of science and technology has created great excitement and expectations in the current century. The conference aims to provide a forum to the young researchers to share and discuss their research findings in various sub-areas of the theme. Moreover, the interactions with the leading scientists in the country will highly motivate the students and early stage researchers to address many unsolved issues in this frontier field of research.
Dibrugarh University

Dibrugarh University is the eastern most university in India.  Since its establishment in 1965, this institution is contributing significantly towards the society in terms of higher education and innovations through the various teaching and research programmes. The University hosts 175 affiliated colleges and institutes that spread over seven districts of Upper Assam. Accredited by NAAC with “A” grade in 2017, this university provides several schools of studies in promoting Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering and other branches of learning. The several departments and centers of this university have achieved national recognitions like SAP-DRS and DST-FIST schemes.

Department of Physics

Established in the year 1967, the Department of Physics is one of the most vibrant department in Dibrugarh University.  This department offers I. M. Sc., M. Sc., M. Phil and Ph. D. programmes.  It has received financial assistances from DST (FIST-I) and UGC (SAP-DRS-II).  The research projects carried out in diverge areas by the faculties of the department are funded by agencies like UGC, DST, CSIR, ISRO etc.
